I’m Jon Hildreth, running for the New Hampshire House in the Democratic primary. As a longtime independent voter, I ran a write-in campaign in the primary and am proud to be on the ballot as a Democrat on November 5th.
I am a native of Laconia and proud of our city. As a former business owner and career executive, I want to be a voice for Laconia in Concord.

A native for New Hampshire
I will work to address the needs of Laconia taxpayers in Concord
Affordable Housing
I want to address affordable housing in the Lakes Region and the state. This issue affects the ability of small businesses to attract employees in a state dependent on tourism and adds to the growing homeless population.
Education
I am concerned by the attack on our already underfunded public school system. Every child deserves a quality education and its all-important to continue our commitment to New Hampshire’s youth.
Tourism
With tourism our most important industry, we need to support and promote New Hampshire as destination through current and future programs to bring more business to our small businesses.
County Services
As a member of the Belknap County delegation, I want to balance the costs and benefits of our Sheriff Department and County Nursing Home.
Former State School Property
Care is needed to utilize this 220-acre property in a manner that benefits the county and the city of Laconia. Future infrastructure costs will be a direct burden to local taxpayers.
Gunstock Mountain Resort
I am fully supportive of keeping Gunstock a family mountain while carefully making the improvements that are needed to maintain its appeal to locals and visitors alike.
Jon Hildreth is a native of Laconia which gives him knowledge of the workings and responsibilities of our local community. He understands NH state laws and believes that the duty of public officials is to protect citizens and meet their needs in a fiscally responsible manner.
